Yesterday, Lisanne brought home the weekly newsletter from her school and to my big big BIG surprise a picture of her was on it...
Last Wednesday, they went ice-skating with the whole school, but unfortunately I wasn't able to join them....Lieke was ill. But I'm so happy I have a picture now of her skating for the first time in her life...It's already printed and waiting on my desk to be scrapped.
Lieke is doing much better now. She was ill since last Wednesday, running high fevers, coughing a LOT, but since Sunday, it's getting better everyday.
The snow is now completely gone. One one hand that's a pity, but on the other hand it's nice to be able to walk on the streets again, without being afraid to fall!
The girls want to have french fries for dinner, yummie! (The only thing is...I have to loose some weight...but, hey, who can resist some good ol' french fries? I know, I can't...)
Oh, before I forget, hop over to Revlie's blog for a nice give-away!
Love life, without snow!

Here's my take on the first challenge on 52x52. We had to use at least 3 circles on a layout:
Since our part of the country is covered in snow for weeks now, the girls decided it was time to build a huge snowman. So, together they started, but since it didn't go fast enough, daddy had to help them out....while mommy stayed inside, warm and cozy, and made pictures. Halfway, Lieke was too cold, so she came in too. Together we watched Lisanne and daddy finish the snowman.
It's still freezing cold outside. Tomorrow, Lisanne and her classmates will go skating for the first time, so I have to find her some skates...When it not too cold, I'll go over there to make some pics!
One of my favorite magazines, Flow, arrived in the mail today, so I'll make myself a nice cup of hot chocolate and settle myself on the couch this afternoon!
Live life, go with the flow....

The other day I visited Nili's blog and read about a new challenge-blog, 52 x 52 by Janelle Richmond.
I was already planning on making an 2010 family album, and this gave me a jumpstart. So...tonight I'll work on my book and tomorrow the first challenge will be on.
It's still freezing cold in our part of the country. Last night it snowed heavily, so the world outside is still white. Allthough the snow causes a lot of trouble for traffic and public transport, I love it so much. Kids are playing outside, making snowmens, having snowballfights, they really enjoy themselves a lot lately!....but this is what happens when you play outside in the snow and you get a bit too cold...
Love life, enjoy the snow!

I wish everybody a very happy, healthy, fun and creative 2010!!!
The holidays have come to an end. We had a lovely, relaxing and fun holiday. The normal routine with (pre)school, work, swimming lessons etc. etc. will start tomorrow. A new year has started, a new year full of new chances, new opportunities, new hopes and dreams.
I have made some resolutions......
1. Loose some weight and try to eat healthier...(no more chocolate and dropjes...)
2. Start up my own Etsy shop
3. Be more creative
4. Learn more about photography
5. Declutter my house and keep it that way
6. Be more organised
7. Try to scrap at least one page a week and one minialbum a month
8. Visit my friends more often (yes buuf, you are the first one I'll pay a visit...)
9. ...
And, what are your resolutions for this year?
Love life in 2010,

Kwam dit filmpje tegen op YouTube, van de presentatoren van mijn favoriete TV-programma....
(For the non Dutchies: this should have been a promo for a tv-show on the 31st of December, but it ends up completely different...)
Ik wens iedereen een heel gelukkig 2010 toe en dat al jullie dromen maar uit mogen komen.
I wish everybody a very happy 2010 and may all your dreams come true.
See you all next year!

PS: I'm currently working on a new workshop incl. kit.
Yesterday evening my sister and me went to see the movie "Komt een vrouw bij de dokter." (For the non-dutchies: This movie is filmed after the book, written by Kluun and tells about the life of Stijn and Carmen who had everything in life they wished for, suddenly changed when Carmen was diagnosed with brestcancer. Stijn wanted to be supportive to Carmen, but on the other hand wanted to escape reality by dating another girl, named Roos.)
Never could have imagined (well, maybe a little...) that this movie would do me so much. Lots of memories about my mom flew through my mind, Carmen's story was/is so similair to my mom's. Tears were running over my cheeks while watching. It made me realise (again) to enjoy life to the max; in the blink of an eye, your whole world can be turned upside down. Enjoy life to the max, enjoy the kiddos to the max, embrace life and love.
Love life.

En luister eens naar dit prachtige nummer van Kane: Love over healing
Moet toch 3 woorden kwijt.....heftig, ontroerend, mooi.
My little girl was such a little trooper yesterday afternoon. She had to get her Mexican-flu-vaccination. Earlier in the afternoon I told her she had to get a "prikje", and she immediatly said to me she didn't want that, 'cause she's not ill. So I explained to her that that vaccination prevents her from getting ill....and than she was ok with that.
She didn't cry or even made a sound when she got her vaccination. When we got home she complained about a sore arm, and that was it. No fever, no other complaints, she slept the whole night, and was ready to go to preschool this morning. Soooo happy about that!
Here's a pic of my little trooper:
And the girls were so lucky to see Sinterklaas and 2 Zwarte Pieten yesterday. They walked by in our street, so they immediately went outside to get some pepernoten and other candy and to make a picture, of course:
Next Sunday we go to the party of De Club van Sinterklaas. It's a big party, with lots of artists and of course Sinterklaas and all his Pieten. It's the 3rd time we go there, and the girls love it....especially because Coole Piet Diego is back at the Club. He's Lisanne's all time favorite Piet, because the first time we went to the party, he took her with him to meet Sinterklaas...
I'll bet we'll have a blast again next Sunday!
